HiTech Assets Lead Sessions at Recycling Industry Conference Oklahoma City, OK – (April 25, 2012) HiTech Assets
will further the cause of sustainable electronics recycling at next week’s
industry-wide event, the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) annual
convention. On Monday, HiTech’s Rike Sandlin will moderate a workshop on
the Value of R2/RIOS certification and becoming a Certified Electronics
Recycler®.
On Wednesday, HiTech Co-Founder and President Lane Epperson
will present and moderate the Electronics Recycling Session on Best Value &
Practices in Reuse. Also presenting are representatives of Microsoft,
Arrow Electronics, and TechSoup. It is fortunate that this session
immediately followed ISRI’s Spotlight on the Economy, since recovering value through
refurbishment and reuse of equipment is the best economic solution (as well as
environmental).
In addition to leading these panel discussions, HiTech will
be active in the Electronics Division and RIOS Board meetings, Government
Relations, Education, and a number of other committees advancing best practices
and standards for the industry. Showing continued industry
leadership during the conference HiTech's Rike Sandlin was appointed Chairman
of the Board of ISRI Services Corporation, which is the governing body for the
RIOS standard.
HiTech Assets, Inc., headquartered in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, is one of the leading “Certified Electronics Recyclers®” and
Information Technology Asset Disposition (ITAD) providers in the nation.
